The Acme Cement Plaster gypsum mine and mill are closed as shovelers drivers and wheelbarrow men strike over pay. Miners idle due to no rock to hoist and no ground material. United States Gypsum and Plymouth Gypsum mills operate on reserve rock while their mines are blocked by laborers strike demanding higher wages.
