Colthurst Death Reported At 77 In Washington County
Mrs. Cora Theresa Colthurst 77 of 303 West Jefferson died at 7 20 AM in her home after a heart attack following breakfast with her sister. Funeral services are set for Thursday at 2 PM at Shermans with Dr George Kerr officiating. Burial will be in Camp Ground cemetery. She was born Sept 17 1870 in Sunbeam Michigan and lived in the area most of her life. She married Isaac L Colthurst in 1907 who died in 1941. She belonged to the United Presbyterian Church and was active in church fairs, the Fortnightly club, handcraft and American Home divisions. Survivors include one stepson Roger Colthurst two stepdaughters Carrie Pratt and Leona Crane five stepgrandchildren and three stepgreatgrandchildren, plus one sister Mrs R A Acheson.

Final rites for Pvt Maynard R Reiner returned serviceman will be held Friday morning July 20 at nine in St James Church. The rosary will be recited at Sherman’s funeral home Thursday evening at eight. He entered service April 15 1943 and died in a England military hospital April 17 1944 following an accident. Burial will be Elm Grove cemetery.
