Emery Rhodes In Critical Condition After Iowa City Collision
Emery Rhodes a 53 year old farmer from route four Washington was in critical condition at University Hospitals Iowa City after a car truck crash on highway one north of Washington Wednesday afternoon. He failed to stop at a stop sign entering the path of Wilbur Swartzendruber 37 Wellman causing a two vehicle wreck nine miles north of Washington at Bush Corner. Swartzendruber had minor injuries and Rhodes suffered a broken neck after being taken to Mercy Hospital then transferred to University Hospitals. The accident occurred about 3 pm Wednesday.
