Krabill Led Washington County Schools From Rural Roots
Lester B. Krabill, longtime Washington county superintendent, grew up in Henry county and Muscatine, taught in Henry and Washington counties, earned a degree from Iowa Wesleyan in 1928, and has directed the county office since 1933. He remembers Muscatine’s lumber era and river life amid the Mississippi’s banks and Musser Kaiser mills.
