Funeral Held Today For Mrs Bidwell's Mother
Funeral services for Mrs Milton Bowman age 71 were held at her home in Columbus Junction with Dr Norris C Dicker presiding. Burial followed in Columbus City cemetery. She died Thursday night after several weeks illness. She had lived in this area except ten years in Crook County Nebraska. John W Peckham Dies at 81 After Stroke in Wisconsin
John Wesley Peckham aged 81, longtime Milwaukee railway employee, died at noon at his home 71s East Madison Street after a second stroke. Born September 7, 1848 in Lee County Iowa, he married Hannah Collier in 1871 and leaves a daughter Mrs James A Morrison of Hampshire, two sons and another daughter deceased. Funeral at 10:30 Monday at L A Jones Funeral Home conducted by Pastor P E Roll. interment pending. He had lived in Washington since the Milwaukee cut-off project in 1902 with time in South Dakota. He is survived by his wife, daughter, a brother Joseph Peckham of Jacksonville, and two sisters Mrs Charles Armstrong Kahoka Mo and Mrs Jennie Case Pennsylvania.
