First Lt. Robert Morgan of Wilkes Barre Pa was found not guilty of dereliction of duty for allowing 225 soldiers to stand at attention in 91 degree heat for over an hour. An eight member court martial board cleared him of charges. His administrative first sergeant Richard Witbeck of Wellington Ohio still faces court martial action in the same case.
Debbie Finch, four year old twin, suffered a possible skull fracture after tumbling from a second story window in Davenport. Her twin sister Terry was uninjured. Mrs Finch said the screen loosened when the children leaned on it as they woke to the sound of their father starting the car.
