The Choir of the United Presbyterian Church at Ainsworth will present a program on Sunday evening July 27 at 8 o'clock. The first part includes three choir numbers two numbers by the ve ws quartet a tenor solo There Is a Green Hill Far Away by Kenneth McConnell and a baritone solo Calvary by George Colthurst. A cantata The Lord's Prayer by Burkholder and Lorenz will follow with soloists David Stout Mauidee Orris and Scott Orris. There will be a duet by Allen Wortman and Bill Koehler and a trio by Waren Koehler Virginia Hunt and Sara McGinnis. Scripture readings accompany the cantata read by Mrs George Colthurst. Allen Wortman will sing assisted by Virginia Hunt and Sara McGinnis. The choir is directed by Julia Koehler.

Homer Stephens 67, local optometrist and jeweler, died Wednesday night at University Hospital Iowa City after a six month illness. He built a Washington business for over 50 years, owned Hobson Jewelry Store until a fire.
