Eliminate mildew before you paint
Mildew must be removed before repainting to prevent growth through the new coat. Clean with a mix of trisodium phosphate detergent and chlorine bleach, rinse well, then apply mildew resistant paint or add mildewcide to regular paint. If delay occurs, reclean prior to painting. Consult a reputable paint dealer for quality mildew resistant options.

Westinghouse updates engineers with modern design training
John R. Van Horn, Westinghouse manager of professional development, noted that graduates over ten years ago were educated before modern design and analysis techniques became common. Many current engineers earned degrees 15 to 20 years ago and now supervise 20 to 100 engineers. Carnegie Tech helped design the program with lecturers from the University of Pittsburgh Case Institute of Technology and Princeton University.
