Troop A Beats Marines to Tie for League Lead in Softball

Troop A defeated the Marines 7 to 3 to pull even atop the Washington Softball League after the first game of a doubleheader. In the second game the VFW bested Crawfordsville Owls 7 to 3 as a six run fourth inning sealed the win before rain ended play.

Washington Junior Legion Falls 2-1 to Wapello

Washington's Junior Legion baseball team lost 2 to 1 at Wapello in a pitching duel. K Allar fanned ten and Carlson struck out six as Wapello earned the win with three errors to Washington four. Washington travels to Mt. Pleasant tonight for next game and will meet Wapello again in a rematch.
