Closed Cathedral of Red Rock Canyon Awe Inspires Visitors
John L. Von Blon in Wide World Magazine hails the Red Rock canyon’s Closed Cathedral in southern California as a natural masterpiece. The immense edifice features a 25 by 15 foot entrance, 12 feet deep, with pure white, blue, red, yellow, and green hues blending like a giant stained glass. An ancient look is hinted by a diagonal crack, suggesting an earth slide before erosion. The scene’s realism evokes the tolling of bells in prayers.
