The Light In the Window For Thee author’s tragic life tale
In Coffeyville Kansas the grave of Rev Edmund Dunbar marks a life of genius and downfall. A songwriter known for There’s a Light In the Window For Thee he spent years in a Minnesota penitentiary for bigamy then wandered as a tramp. He died in a city jail after seeking food and lodging, identified by letters on his body. His arc from minister to convict illustrates the Jekyll and Hyde duality of humanity.
