Death of Mr. Jason Thompson at home near the city
After months of illness Mr. Jason Thompson died at 6 30 last evening at his rural home about a mile east of the city. He had returned from Colorado in February and gradually weakened until death. A post mortem showed diseased lungs and heart. Born June 24 1843 in Bellfontaine Logan county Ohio he lived in Iowa eleven years and in the city four years. He was married May 30 twenty years ago and had one daughter. Funeral at 9 am tomorrow at the family residence with interment in Crawfordsville cemetery. The family has the sympathy of The Journal.
