Robert Todd a 54 year old fired employee at Taylor County Home faced murder charges for beating 92 year old Charles Hamm to death with a wet towel and fists. Hamm died Sunday after authorities say he was tied to a bed during the attack. Todd had been acting steward during the regular stewards two day leave. Sheriff Lucas said a woman ward assistant warned him Saturday night. An inquest and autopsy were held but results were not released.
All volunteers for the Red Cross Bloodmobile at the United Presbyterian church on July 22 and 23 will gather Tuesday at 7 59 p m in the high school principal's office. Red Cross field staff will outline duties and answer questions. Donors are being contacted. those willing to donate but without an appointment should contact the Red Cross office. Robert Everetts and John C Owen lead the planning for the donor program.

A L Hamilton aged 93 native of Washington and Pasadena pioneer died in Pasadena July 9. He was born November 12, 1859, attended local schools and Iowa State College, served as principal of Ainsworth school and remained active in Pasadena civic affairs. Funeral and burial held in Pasadena.

Thieves entered rear door after trying the front and stole tools a tap and die set a new electric drill batteries and pennies. Burglar alarm unused at the time and insurance partially covers the loss. no definite clues on suspects.

Twenty one boys have registered for the first annual YMCA camp at Lake Darling for the week of August 2, announced by Artemus Brown YMCA secretary.
