Steer Theft Reported From Wilbur Gardner Farm
Sheriff Ro Ho McGarty was notified after a steer valued near 100 dollars was stolen from the Wilbur Gardner farm pasture near Aillisaworth. The white faced steer weighed about 1340 pounds and a truck was found in the pasture with the gate lock tampered. A second attempted theft involved a hammer strike that left the steer alive. Gardner, a major county cattle raiser, has about 450 cattle on the property awaiting market.
