Funeral Services for Capt Boyer Set for Tomorrow at Ten
Funeral services for Captain Dav id A Boyer will be held at ten oclock Tuesday morning at Shermans funeral home with Dr EF W Eastwood of the Presbyterian church officiating, burial in Elm Grove cemetery. He died Saturday at his home after months of ill health, age 95, leaving a legacy as Civil War veteran and prominent Washington county citizen. He served in Company A 25th Iowa Infantry and was wounded, later rising to officer rank. He was clerk of the district court, a long-time farmer, and held leadership roles in local banks, farming organizations, and the G A R. Survivors include six children and ten grandchildren. He was married twice, first to Eliza Harris and then to Mrs M L Doane.

Mrs Ameal Chabal died at home eight miles northeast of Washington after five years of poor health and a week of critical illness from diabetes. She leaves husband Ameal and four children Dorothy 15 Stanley 11 Edward 10 Robert, with one child Mabel preceding her. She was born Elsie Mabel Patterson on Sept 17 1895, married Feb 16 1914, lived on farms near Washington, and is survived by four brothers and extended relatives.
