Schneider Rites Held After Cedar Rapids Boat Accident
Graveside rites for John Jack Schneider 49 of Cedar Rapids were held at Elm Grove Cemetery. He died Saturday in a boating accident near Cedar Rapids. He lived here 21 years and worked as an interior decorator and WW II veteran. Survivors include wife Ethel Jacobs a daughter a son his parents two brothers and two sisters.

Searchers Fail To Find Drowned Man
Reports from Richland at noon today indicated the search for the body of Louis Janecek, a apparent drowning victim, is continuing. Crews of searchers in boats worked without success until late last night and resumed the task this morning. Mr. Janecek was in a boat which overturned in the Skunk River Sunday afternoon. Two boys with him reached shore safely.
