The measure backs hard surfacing on the Waite Pole highway to Des Moines and paving on the Lincoln highway from Omaha to Chicago. Muscatine Iowa July 12. Matt Houdek died after a fall from stairs during a bolt of lightning. He suffered a brain concussion and died early today. The storm caused hail damage to melons and tomatoes and heavy rain helped corn in some fields while chilling wind and lightning accompanied the worst electrical weather in years.
