Pastor Agustin Darino of Buenos Aires, treasurer of the Argentine Mennonite Conference and head of its Evangelism Commission, will speak at Bethel Church Wayland Iowa on Thursday July 12 and at West Union Church Parnell Iowa on Friday July 13. Darino chairs and participates in an interdenominational Evangelical Federation of Argentina group and assists with the Billy Graham campaign preparations in Buenos Aires. He recently attended the Mennonite Board of Missions and Charities meeting in Harrisonburg Virginia and will visit North American Mennonite churches and the World Conference in Kitchener Ontario with translator John Koppenhaver who has ten years of mission service in Argentina.

Riverside residents approved a 25 year franchise for Illinois Gas and Electric to provide natural gas service. Of 277 votes, 270 favored and three opposed. four ballots were spoiled. Kalona Garage and Shed Destroyed in Early Morning Fire
A combined garage and machine shed on Milo Miller farm three miles north of Kalona burned at 2:15 a m. The blaze, which damaged a tractor two lawn mowers and cans of oil and gasoline, was fought by Kalona firefighters but only an automobile could be saved. No cause yet determined. trees in a nearby grove also caught fire. Building measured about 25 by 30 feet.

Partly cloudy weather in Iowa through Thursday with widely scattered showers or thunderstorms mainly in the southeast and far south. Cooler tonight with lows in the 60s and highs in the 80s by Thursday. Friday brings more scattered thunder showers and little temperature change. The five day outlook shows temperatures about 2 to 4 degrees below normal with normal highs in the 80s to low 90s and lows in the 60s, with precipitation averaging half to three quarters of an inch consisting of scattered showers and storms.
