Ralph Fleagle, gang leader in the May 23 1928 Lamar bank robbery, was executed at Colorado State Penitentiary. He embraced the Catholic faith minutes before the 9:03 p.m. trap and spoke, God bless you, father. Four victims died in the crime, and two remaining accomplices Howard L. Royston and George J. Abshier are to be hanged next week. The body will be cremated in Garden City Kansas and ashes returned to relatives.
