James Evans a longtime Keota resident died at his home Tuesday night. Funeral services are set for Friday at 2 PM at Federated church with burial in Keota cemetery. He was born March 22, 1885 in Lancaster County Pennsylvania, married Virgie Fry in 1909 and lived in Davenport and Keota most of his life. Survivors include several children: Gertrude Peiffer, Thelmay Hanececk, James, Delores Harlan, Ora Rabourn, Louvara Duncan, and Darlene Fagan.
