Keokuk youth found in sewer after rainstorm
A 9-year-old Keokuk boy Randy Pagitt drowned with three companions after a rain swollen creek swept them into a storm sewer near Rand Park. A diver located the body near the Mississippi River outlet minutes after the flood pushed the sewer netting aside. The other three children, ages 7 and 8, were recovered Monday. Mayor Henke ordered a metal grate reinstalled over the sewer entrance to Rand Park.

Pratt had moved to Country Club Hills and rented a Beechcraft Baron for a company trip.
