Funeral services for John W Jack Heffelfinger 49 farmer west of Indianola killed in a tractor accident on his farm will be held Saturday July 9. The first service is at 10 30 a m at Peterson funeral home Indianola the second at 2 30 p m at Colfax Methodist church with burial in Colfax cemetery. Survivors include his wife Marjorie two daughters Joan and Jane his mother Mrs Beatrice Heffelfinger of Colfax two brothers Paul of Mingo and Hal of Paton and one sister Mrs Vern Schaumberg of Hood River Oregon.

Authorities in Estherville Iowa report the holding of Edwin Kinnaman a suspected bad check artist active in Washington. Sheriff Charles Snyder says he forged checks at Estherville and notes increased local illegal checks. Merchants are urged to report suspicious notes promptly to police or the sheriff.
