Mrs Mary Swift wife of Martin Swift sr died at home northeast of the city at seven o'clock this morning after two months of stomach cancer. Born May 1 1830 in Treland she and her Illinois born husband moved here about thirty years ago and raised a large married family. The funeral is set for Thursday at 10 am with interment in Elm Grove cemetery.
