Youth Corps teams active in Washington County programs
Two groups of Washington County youths participate in Office of Economic Opportunity projects. One group provides 16 to 21 year olds with work experience, while the other aids those unlikely for higher education. Four youths are employed in state and federal offices, selected by a CAP committee. They work in Soil Conservation Service, Federal Crop Insurance Office, Local State Highway Commission, and Washington County ASC. A parallel effort places youths in county parks under the County Conservation Board.
