Explosion at Windsor Grocery Ends with Minor Fire Escape

A generator exploded in Windsor triggering a report of a cannon sound but caused only a small fire with no injuries. Fire crews responded and contained the blaze as bystanders watched. No further damage reported to surrounding structures.

Narrow Gange Train Blast Injures Brakeman

The Narrow Gange line near Washington experienced a soda fountain generator explosion as the train departed. Brakeman Willis suffered serious injuries and was off duty. conductor Wheeler was not on board at the time. Arthur Mason reported the event, noting a hole blown in the car floor and an explosive charge visible.

Fire at Windsor grocery stops after near miss with fireworks

Yesterday afternoon Warry McCall of McCall & Elder dropped a lit match in the Windsor grocery. The flame ignited loose paper and woodwork but was quickly smothered with water. The blaze occurred close to the fire works department and could have caused an early Fourth display.

At the Christian Endeavor society meeting last evening the Presbyterian church elected officers. Pred Smith was named president Mayme Shearer as vice president Tita Shields as secretary and Ry a Denny as treasurer.

The Graham to Open Next Season With Reputable Show
