A generator exploded in Windsor triggering a report of a cannon sound but caused only a small fire with no injuries. Fire crews responded and contained the blaze as bystanders watched. No further damage reported to surrounding structures.
County auditor figures show Washington City with 112 dogs and 24 707 cattle in the county tallying 1469 At. The county lists 15040 horses 7525 mules and asses 2077 sheep and 78185 hogs. Personal property totals around 1 900 000 in the city and about 85 700 000 in the county.
The Narrow Gange line near Washington experienced a soda fountain generator explosion as the train departed. Brakeman Willis suffered serious injuries and was off duty. conductor Wheeler was not on board at the time. Last evening, Starry Crone married Pearl Huber near West Chester. After the ceremony they returned to this city, where Crone has a home ready. The bride is highly respected. the groom works at the Washington Buggy Co. and is a steady young man.
At the Christian Endeavor society meeting last evening the Presbyterian church elected officers. Pred Smith was named president Mayme Shearer as vice president Tita Shields as secretary and Ry a Denny as treasurer.
The Graham plans a August 20 opening featuring Murry and Murphy’s comedians in a red hot Trish comedy. The season will showcase latest songs dances and specialties. Hoyt’s Trip to Chinatown with Laura Biggar Burt Haverly and a thirty person company aims as a top attraction at The Graham next season. Washington audiences are urged to support this attraction.
