In Paterson New Jersey on January 30 Judge Dixon sentenced MeAlister Campbell Kerr and three others to thirty years at hard labor for murder and rape. Kerr got fifteen years. The judge warned that the punishment should deter others. Kerr pled non vult to assault and received clemency requests from his lawyer noting his family. The four were taken to await transfer to Trenton prison.
