Shaver Family Leads Washington YMCA Volunteer Force
The Har old Shaver family in Washington exemplifies YMCA service, with Mrs Pat Shaver working as admin like an assistant and son Rick teaching swimming while Denny and Mary Ellen assist. Harold Shaver’s shifts at Rath Packing and past roles as custodian show deep family engagement fueling Y and YWCA programs. The family’s move from Oelwein to Washington centers on the YMCA as a community asset and home away from home.
