The Washington Ministerial association union services move to the Christian church this Sunday evening with Rev W A Simpson of the African Methodist Episcopal Church as the sermonist. Dr Fred Miller of the Methodist church presides and the offering supports Shorter Chapel. The service at 7 30 will feature the Christian church choir directed by Robert Everetts with Mrs Everetts singing Love Divine and the anthem I Was a Wandering Sheep.

Mrs. Carrie McHaffey 79 mother of Gov. William S. Beardsley died late yesterday in New Virginia Iowa after cataract surgery in Des Moines. She was born in Fremont daughter of a Methodist minister. her first husband William Beardsley died in 1914 and her second husband David McHaffey died in 1925. Funeral plans were not yet announced.
