Sgt. Charles L. Anson head of the Washington recruiting substation cites family support and choice of service as reasons for more enlistments. Sixty eight men joined last year with eight more this year from the county including Edward Warner and Robert Custer. Clothing fire kills farm caretaker in Iowa
