Edward VII Proclaimed King in London Amid Vast Pageantry

London January 25 Edward VII was publicly proclaimed by the gates of St James Palace as liege lord of the realm. Thousands lined the streets as heralds proclaimed the new king while bands saluted and the crowd cheered God save the king. The procession then moved through London to Osborne for funeral arrangements of the Queen.

Four injured as Bellaire steel works blast burns workers

In Bellaire Ohio a blast at the steel works yesterday killed Thomas Murphy and seriously injured four men including Chester Lowe who may die. The others are Harry Thomas manager Jack Hore and Blaine Redman. The incident occurred near Wheeling West Virginia.
