Prof Leslie M Moeller director of Journalism at the State University of Iowa spoke Thursday afternoon at the Robert Day home to about 30 Republican women. He urged a ten year program totaling 52 million dollars for state schools with 23.95 million for the university 20 million for Iowa State College and 8.26 million for Iowa State Teachers College. He noted the two party system and praised it as balanced and non communistic. Refreshments were provided by the committee.

Fire destroys Davenport home as water runs out
A Davenport suburb fire destroyed the Robert Motto home, a seven room ranch, after Pleasant Valley crews ran out of water.
