Scouts Complete Ten Mile Winter Hike From Troop 242
Twenty five Scouts and Scouters from Troop 242 sponsored by St James School completed a ten mile winter hike over the weekend. They circumnavigated Lake Darling by bushwhacking followed game trails crossed creeks and bays on ice and studied winter plant and tree identification. Seventeen Scouts were joined by eight Scouters despite drizzle and cold winds with a few boots full of water but socks changed and hike continued.
