The YWCA will start craft classes for knitting and textile painting early February. Sessions run weekly for eight to twelve weeks, with fall restart if demand sustains interest. Women should contact Mrs. Charles R. Wilson at the YWCA to register or express approval of the plan.
Twenty five members attended the St James circle meeting held at the home of Mrs. Frank.
A luncheon was held Wednesday at 1 o'clock in the home of Mr and Mrs Lauder Kennedy. Twenty one were in attendance. After dinner the afternoon was spent visiting.
Thirteen members of the American Legion auxiliary met at 10 a.m. yesterday at the Legion rooms for an all day carpet rag sewing. At noon a cooperative dinner was served. The group plans another sewing session for early February.
Y's Men bridge group gathered at the Loveless residence Tuesday evening. High scores went to Mrs Artemas Brown and FP Dr Morrison Jr, while low scores were recorded by Mrs Richard Stewart and Richard McCleery. Ladies met at 7 15 for dessert before the men joined after the Y's Men's meeting.

Mr and Mrs LeRoy Duwn of north of Washington were surprised on their second wedding anniversary Monday. Relatives joined for a co operative dinner and social evening with Dwayne Schneider Olin Gingerich Peggy Ann Dale Duwa Barbara Kay Ralph Waldschmidt Leon Melvin Duwa La Vonne Jo and Karen Kay of Coralville in attendance.
Community members celebrate birthdays and anniversaries including R C Fergeson and Paul Dodder. Local groups host cooperative dinners and meetings at the Masonic Temple, OES, PEO, and several churches. Events include Child Study III, Handcraft IV, VFW and WCTU activities with times and hostesses listed.
