Sorosis Study Club Meets In Ainsworth Ainsworth Jan 15
The Sorosis Study Club of Ainsworth gathered at the home of Mrs. Burke McCreedy with Mrs. Percy Skubal as cohostess. Twelve members attended and heard Steve Messenger speak on wild animals and furs with slides from Forney Lake. The meeting announced the County Convention on March 15 in Crawfordsville and a $25 community project donation to Ainsworth Elementary School.

The Kalona Odd Fellow Lodge and Kalona Rebekah Lodge held a joint installation for their 1973 officers on January 9 in the Odd Fellow hall. District deputy grand master Larry Plank and staff installed both lodges with many named officers listed. A social hour followed with refreshments served by local members. Later, Jenny Rawson of London filed for divorce herself, winning the case after drafting her own petition at a cost of $28.20 versus usual fees.
