Rescuers Reach Stranded City of San Francisco Train
Rescuers broke through to 222 aboard the City of San Francisco at Emigrant Gap California to evacuate the marooned passengers. A snow plow widened a narrow highway as Southern Pacific crews and autos waited to aid the four mile return trip. Born February 25 1864 at Mt Vernon Kentucky, she married November 28 1885 in Illinois. Survived by daughter Mrs M M Flynn of Keota, son John of Portland Oregon, sister Mrs P F Dr Lewis of Corvallis Oregon, brother William DeBord of Raynolds Illinois, seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. One daughter died earlier and a son was killed in World War I.

Funeral at Keota for Mrs Norah Fountain
Mrs Norah Fountain died at 7 o clock in Graham hospital Keokuk after a long illness. She lived in Keota most of her life and later with her daughter in Keokuk. Services will be held in Keokuk Friday at 2 pm and Saturday at Marsh funeral home Keota. Burial in Keota cemetery. She was born September 1871 near Bradford Kentucky and married William Fountain in 1896 who died in 1926.
