Grand jurors Find Indictment Against All Jail Birds

Grand jury returns indictments against all defendants nicknamed the jail birds. Prosecutors say the cases involve multiple charges and await arraignment in the district court.

Brighton District Meeting Topics at Rural School Libraries

This afternoon a District one Meeting was held at Brighton Rural School Libraries. Miss Mattie Miller spoke on School Decorations and Miss Heacock on Geography Topics, both of Brighton. Mrs. Bert Tracey returned home to Brighton this morning and a note about Game Trout cigars appears in the box.

Hounds Kill Two Foxes Near Midland Cigar Factory

George Jacobs of the Midland Cigar Factory spotted a large jack rabbit while out hunting. The Haves pursued nearby and killed two foxes, a first note of such killings in the boys county for some time.

Change of Venue Requested in Kemble Case

Jacob Kemble sits in County jail charged with ingest though his counsel McCord argues for a venue change to Zeb A venue. The filing claims the expense to taxpayers over a year and suggests a move could delay a fair trial but asserts no hindrance to a fair trial in the county. Graham county fair draws crowd to show and music

A bustling Graham County Fair last night drew a wood house crowd with local acts and a strong orchestra led by Maestri Strain. Notable attendees included Winfield Rea and Charlie Strain. Ralph Coffman and the COMETS teacher group visited West Chester as families plan moving to Kent.
