Death of Adam Page Recalls Civil War Service and Local Farewell

Adam Page died at 11 45 a m today after a two week illness. He was a color bearer for J G White Post and served four years in the Tenth Iowa Infantry. He fought at Shiloh Corinth and Sherman’s march to the sea and settled in Jackson township after moving from Pennsylvania. He leaves a wife six children and a host of kin in Washington and Kansas. The funeral is set for tomorrow at two with Grand Army Post arranging.
