Biden sworn in as senator from hospital bed

Joseph Biden was sworn in as a US senator from his Wilmington hospital bed where he has stayed since the Dec 18 auto accident that killed his wife and baby daughter. He vowed to resign if he cannot be a good father to his two young sons, noting he would inform Gov elect Tribbitt if a conflict arises. Biden becomes the youngest senator after his November election and states one son remains hospitalized.
