Escaped convict murders couple on Montana farm
Forsythe Montana January 9 The Associated Press Peter Jacobi a farmer and his niece Mathilda Latsch were found dead in a haystack on the Jacobi farm. Arthur Thomas Hesterling 20 confessed to the killings. He had escaped a Knoxville Iowa sanitarium in 1924 and said he killed both victims with an ax after bringing them to the ranch. He hid the bodies in a wheel barrow and was captured after ranchers directed authorities to the scene.
