In OskaLoosa Ja on December 26 Judge Dewey opened the highly watched Conklin murder trial. Sixty witnesses have testified with more to come regarding the death of Alice Conklin deemed suicide by burning, though the grand jury indicted her husband P B Conklin for murder. Dr J C Barringer and Dr Clark testified at the coroner's inquest and influenced the suicide verdict.
