Durrant Executed After Claimed Innocence in San Francisco

San Francisco reports Durant was hanged at 11:37 for murder after declaring innocence. He spoke quietly, forgave his persecutors, and received Catholic rites with his parents present. He ate breakfast, read the Bible, and discussed a possible final speech with Captain Edgar before execution. The crowd gathered as the death warrant was read and the priest administered last rites.

Quiet wedding near town and local notices expand

A pretty marriage occurred at the home of Charlie Dayton with Claude C. Davis and Nellie Blanche Davis wed by Rev. TE Brownell. The write up notes families and local ties, congratulating the couple. Community updates include insurance company officers chosen and a barber shop sale.

Assessors Form County Association At Courthouse Meeting

At the county courthouse a meeting of assessors formed a new Assessor Association. Elected officers include Samuel Conner president and Chas Noaker secretary. Key rules cover listing all taxpayers, taxing dogs, valuing property at actual value, penalties for omissions, and allowances for meeting attendance. Continued on page four.

Mrs Alma Brindley Hosts Elegant Four O Clock Tea

Frank Rogers accompanied Miss Alma Brindley as she hosted a small gathering Thursday afternoon. She entertained friends at four o clock ten with six guests present and six course refreshments. Several musical selections were rendered to conclude the afternoon.
