Surveyor 7 set for launch Sunday CAPE KENNEDY
Surveyor 7, America’s final unmanned moon probe, is set for a 12:55 a.m. EST Sunday launch aboard the Atlas Centaur rocket. The mission aims to study material from beneath the lunar surface at Tycho, with only a two in ten chance of a successful landing due to rough terrain and limited computer guidance. If successful, it could advance understanding of the moon’s formation as it samples relatively fresh crust material.

Future of heart transplants in Cape Town hinges on donor diversity
Dr Christiaan Barnard said a second heart transplant could be performed if Philip Blaiberg's body rejects his new heart. Blaiberg's condition remains excellent as Haupt's funeral coincides with Mardi Gras like carnivals in Salt River. Barnard noted a 50 50 chance a future transplant patient could be nonwhite and rejected the idea that African hearts are unsuitable for white recipients. The next transplant is not immediate as Blaiberg must pass a recovery window, while ECG irregularities were reinterpreted as possible surgical trauma rather than rejection.
