Mrs Wayne Peterson of Olds Iowa died this morning at her home near Columbus Junction of pneumonia. She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs R J Reaney of Columbus Junction and lived here until her marriage about ten years ago. Survived by husband three children her parents one brother James Reaney a Columbus Junction, a sister Louise a Burlington teacher and another sister Mrs Charles Clark of Carroll Iowa. She formerly taught in the local high school.

She suffered a deep neck gash from shattered glass and bled heavily but is reported improving after hospital treatment. University Student Shoots His Parents in Obsession
Allan R. Schumm, 17, a university student from St Louis, shot his mother Fayette Schumm and father William Schumm after claiming an obsession to kill. Knecht Funeral Arrangements Set for Tuesday
Funeral services for Alfred James Knecht, 21, of Davenport will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at L A Jones funeral home with Rev. A W Henke officiating. Burial follows at Elm Grove cemetery. He died Saturday after a long illness. born April 20, 1908 in Washington Iowa, he moved to Davenport as a child and married Minnie Lawrence in 1927. He is survived by his widow, his parents Fred and Mrs. Knecht, two brothers Harvey and Raymond, and several grandparents. Funeral services were held Monday in Range chapel and the body sent to Washington for burial Tuesday.
