So Bie of the High Prairie School
Selina DeJong, nineteen, becomes a schoolteacher on the High Prairie near Chicago in 1888. She meets Klaas Pool family, befriends Roelf Pool, and adapts to harsh farm life while longing for city life and her father. Roelf shows quiet depth, while Selina jousts with loneliness and new duties as winter grips the prairie.
