Mack of the FCC and his part ownership in a Miami insurance firm that did business with television stations. Mack allegedly received about $12,000 since January 1953 and voted with the FCC majority for National Airlines TV in Miami Channel 10 case.

Old Doug Miller Dies in St. Louis
Iowa’s longtime state employee and former slave known as Old Doug Miller died at 96 in St. Louis after 42 years as messenger to Iowa governors starting in 1913. Born in Missouri he moved to Mount Pleasant and later Des Moines where he waited at the Savery Kirkwood hotels and worked at Chicago’s Palmer House. Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday.
