A check forger robbed three Quincy banks and a building and loan association of $8,000 by cashing four of five blank checks stolen from the Adams County Marketing Association. Quiz Suspects In Iowa Farmer's Death
Sioux City police say several suspects in the Mondamin farmer murder are under intensive questioning. A show up was conducted while the victim William Edwards sister and cousin attempted identification. The raid occurred Monday night when the farmer refused to open a safe holding 19000 in cash and bonds. The safe was later found abandoned near North Sioux City. FBI agents and authorities from four states joined the search. The bandits appeared to know the farmhouse and area, suggesting a local suspect.
