Emil Zeigler, 74, brother of Mrs. Robert Reaney of Washington, died in Buffalo Center Illinois from a heart attack last evening. He visited Washington January 29. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon. His wife died in March 1949. He is survived by two sons and a daughter. He had many friends here in Washington.

Nineteen Found Safe After Dakota Blizzard Night Rescue
Nineteen grade school children and three adults missing during a fierce Dakota blizzard were found safe as the storm ended. A 30 man search party and a snowplow battled six foot drifts to locate the group, six children sheltered in a car overnight.
