Fire destroyed the John Edward Klein residence two miles north of Keota. Keota Wellman South English Sigourney and Webster fire crews fought from noon to 8 30 pm to save the two story frame house. Cause unknown water hauled in by Keota Ready Mix and Keota Chemical. Mr and Mrs Klein home at time of blaze children at school. House and belongings a complete loss except for a family room likely salvageable.
