Jackson Kentucky February 7 ex county judge James Hargis longtime Breathitt county figure was shot and killed in his general store by his son Beach Hargis during a quarrel. Five shots were fired four hit the father and he died instantly. Beach Hargis was arrested and jailed amid a liquor fueled confrontation and prior feuds involving the Cockrills and Hargises.
