She was a Washington county pioneer and member of United Presbyterian Church. Northern Plains Hit By New Cold Wave
A fast moving cold snap brought blizzard conditions to northern plains sections today and moved southeastward promising new woes for motorists railroad men and power line crews. Blizzard conditions prevailed in the North Dakota Red River Valley headed into Minnesota. The Chicago weather bureau issued a special warning of a sharp change to colder weather moving across Minnesota reaching Wisconsin Illinois by Tuesday evening and Michigan Indiana by Wednesday morning. Cold wave warnings were posted as far south as Kansas. Strong winds were expected to pile the snow in drifts in Wisconsin and Minnesota where temperatures were expected to drop to 25 below.
